How we support you

The Student Support team is your first point of contact for any questions, concerns or support you may need.

The team is here to help with non-academic enquiries and support you throughout your studies with us. They respond quickly and effectively, helping you navigate key processes and connecting you with the right support whenever you need it.

Types of support

PERSONAL ACADEMIC TUTOR

Each student is assigned a Personal Academic Tutor (PAT), who will be their main contact for all academic-related queries throughout their programme.

Study skills support

Through webinars, workshops and one-to-one coaching sessions, our team helps students build key academic skills, such as essay writing
, presenting, researching assignments and referencing.

Career support

Students can access careers and employability guidance, including support with writing CVs and cover letters, developing communication skills, making successful job applications and exploring how to start their own business.

Wellbeing and disability support

Confidential wellbeing support is available to all RHL students. This includes one-to-one wellbeing sessions, where you can discuss any personal circumstances that may be affecting your studies. We also run regular wellbeing workshops designed to help you look after your mental health and wellbeing.

Our team can work with you to create an individual support plan tailored to your needs, as well as provide guidance on accessing external services, including mental health and counselling support.

Through our dedicated mobile app, Regent Digital, RHL students can also access tailored mental health and wellbeing information, resources and helplines whenever they need additional support.

Frequently asked questions

What will my timetable look like?

Timetables will depend on your own availability and course needs. If you’re an international student on a study visa, you will need to attend all timetabled sessions in person.

When will I get my timetable?

You will receive your individual timetable in advance of the new academic year.

Who can I speak to if I have queries about my assignments?

Your assigned Personal Academic Tutor can assist you with academic-related queries related to your programme. They will provide academic guidance, feedback and support specific to your progress.

How is my academic activity monitored?

In-person academic activity is recorded via the SEAtS smartphone app, which uses Bluetooth to connect with beacons in your classroom. You need to be connected to the RCL Wi-Fi to use the SEAtS app. For more information about the SEAtS app, please visit the Student Web.

Online academic activity is recorded through an Attendance and Engagement Report. This is generated at the end of each session, detailing which students participated, how long they participated for and which email they used to participate.

Students are required to engage fully and have their cameras switched on throughout the online session. They musalso be in an appropriate environment.
