Dr Sam Bazargan

Academic Director

As Academic Director at Regent Hill London (RHL), Dr Sam Bazargan oversees our academic strategy, programme quality and the overall student learning experience. 

Sam enjoys shaping high-quality academic experiences that have a tangible impact on students’ professional and personal development. He is particularly motivated by creating programmes that combine strong academic foundations with real-world relevance.  

Sam is inspired by the opportunity to lead academic teams, drive innovation in curriculum design, and continuously enhance teaching and learning practices. His approach is centred on ensuring that students not only understand theory but can apply it effectively in complex business environments. 

Sam’s experience, including executive education at Stanford University, has further shaped his perspective on leadership and innovation, reinforcing the importance of building collaborative academic cultures that prioritise excellence, adaptability and student success. 

Sam has over 10 years of experience in UK higher education, with a strong focus on academic leadership, programme development, and teaching across business and finance disciplines. He holds a PhD from Middlesex University Business School, as well as a BSc Business Management and MSc Banking and Finance from Queen Mary University of London.

Prior to current role at RHL, Sam held roles including Head of Undergraduate Programmes, Programme Leader and Senior Lecturer, where he led programme delivery, managed academic teams and contributed to curriculum design and quality assurance processes.

His teaching and academic expertise spans areas such as macroeconomics, financial management, financial markets and quantitative methods, with a particular emphasis on applying analytical and data-driven approaches to business decision-making.

Earlier in his career, Sam taught across undergraduate and postgraduate programmes at Middlesex University London, where he also gained cross-national academic experience as a Dubai-London course coordinator.  

He has further enhanced his international perspective through advanced study in Innovation, Growth and International Production at Sapienza University of Rome in Italy as well as an online executive education in Building Company Culture at Stanford University, USA.
