As Special Advisor, Lord James Wharton plays a key role in further strengthening Regent Hill London’s (RHL) Leadership team. 

From 2010 to 2017, Lord Wharton served as the MP for his home constituency of Stockton South. During his time in office, he played a significant role in higher education policy.   

Lord Wharton was the Minister for the Northern Powerhouse strategy, which was announced in 2016 and described as the UK Government’s vision for a super-connected, globally competitive northern economy. Additionally, he has held various positions related to education and infrastructure.  

Lord Wharton is currently serving as a member of the House of Lords, where he has been a dedicated advocate for improving and widening access to education.  

His expertise in education, government policy and public service is expected to contribute significantly to RHL’s ambitions.
